DAVID P. WILK
David P. Wilk is a partner in Guttormsen, Hartley, Wilk & Higgins,LLP. David focuses his practice primarily in the areas of Personal Injury, Worker’s Compensation and Social Security Disability. He has lectured to other personal injury attorneys on the issue of Recreational Immunity and has authored articles on the topic. He has appeared before judges and juries throughout the state on litigation issues and is a member of the small minority of lawyers who have argued before the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
David joined the firm in 2001 after practicing more than five years with a large, Milwaukee-based personal injury firm. He graduated from Lawrence University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy. In 1994 he earned his Juris Doctor Degree from Hamline University of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Born and raised in Kenosha, David believes strongly in community involvement. He is a cancer survivor and is very involved in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life in Kenosha and was honored as the event’s Honorary Chairperson in 2006. He has served on a number of philanthropic and community-oriented organizations. He is a former President of the Kenosha County Bar Association.
